Influenza A(H1N1) Protocol At The Catholic Chaplaincy
Swine flu is of course a concern for all of us, especially at the start of a new year when people will be arriving at University from all across the world. Here at the Chaplaincy, there are a few simple steps that we can all follow to minimise the risk.
(This is even good sense for when you have the snuffles!)
- Do not come to Mass if you are coughing, sneezing or feel unwell
- Do not receive Holy Communion on the tongue
- Use the special fluid to sanitise your hands in the entrance hall before you proceed into the Chapel or Commons
- Catch coughs & sneezes in a tissue
- Wash your hands before using the sandwich bar
- Wash your hands frequently when cooking or preparing food for the community
If you feel that you may have swine flu, do not hesitate to contact NHS Direct on 0845 4647 or the swine flu website which you can access by clicking here.
